The right way to store a strap

Flat, dry, dark.

Lay the strap flat, not coiled. Coiling for weeks trains a bend that never fully leaves. Keep it away from sunlight and heaters — heat dries the fibres and cracks the finish.

A soft-lined tray or a strap roll keeps grit off the flesh side and slows down the yearly patina drift.
